"Butterfly & Melons"

Copyright 2008 Turtel Onli, oils 18" X 24" is a new Rhythmistic painting that makes subtle suggestions about the delicate balance in nature. Here the subject is wearing motifs for the Sun, Earth, and Water while she gazes at us. Is this gaze a call to action or inaction? Is she at one with this balance of nature? What is her relationship to the items that surround her? Watermelons are powerful symbols in a variety of world cultures and are unique in flavor, color, and nutritional value. Do you know of any symbolic or aesthetic uses or interpretations of the watermelon?

In the past Onli created politically charged watermelon themed artwork to raise consciousness about certain controversial issues associated with this icon. This new collection has a diverse and universal tone to it.

Feel free to email your comments to onli@sbcglobal.net. Thanks for your time and appreciation of the visual arts.

Rhythmistic Fine Art has tremendous growth potential.
Given the state of our economy this is a collectors' market for fine art purchasing.

People collect art because they like it or want it. Because they make a spiritual or emotional connection with the artwork. Because it reflects their values or status. Because it compliments their decor or ambiance. Because of its importance in the growth of art movements or the pedigree of the artist who created the work.

Or for all of the above.
